Learn more about your history

Rosewood is a movie based on a true story directed by John Singleton. The movie tells a story of a horrific lynch attack on African American community in Rosewood, Florida 1923. This movie is very drastic and violent but it is very powerful. It shows bunch of racist killing innocent Black for something they didn’t do. It started when white women made up a stupid lie that black men raped her. That is how war started.
A small town in Florida where mostly black people lived was burnt to the ground; people got killed in extremely cruel way. The one that didn’t got killed got so frightened and traumatize that they were scared to talked, and nobody new about it until 1980’s.
This movie is not easy to watch I barely made it to the end, because it shows extremely harsh times in American history. It is unbelievable how people can be cruel and do something like that to another person. This movie and similar to this one should be showed to people in high school, so they clearly realize what really happened. I believe that still a lot of Americans doesn’t know their real history.

SICKO

SICKO
Sicko is a documentary directed by Michael Moore. This movie shows the American health care as a very high profitable organization comparing to free universal health care in Canada, England, or France.
This was the most depressing documentary I have ever seen. This movie, literally made me think if I really want to live in this country. America is a country where government doesn’t care for their citizens at all. Were people are being extremely sick even dye because they can’t afford to go to a doctor. Not because they were terminally ill or a doctor couldn’t do anything about their sickness, they suffer or dye simply because nobody wants to help poor people.
The movie opened my eyes on how horrible and heartless American policy making is. The only thing that matter in this country is money. The second place is money, then more money and power, and then somewhere in the bottom American government has other moral values (Or not).
The healthcare system in this country will take away every joy of your life until you are old and still working hard in order to stay alive. I wonder if something can be done about that. I don’t understand how European countries, even Canada have such a different system. Why England or France can give to their people best healthcare ever and still stay rich and powerful country. I truly hope that millions and millions of Americans will watch this movie. I was even thinking to make thousands of copies and give it away on the streets. This movie could be a wake up call for this nation, for proud Americans that put a flag in front of their homes and wake up every day thinking how great this country is.

Is there a place for music in politics?

There is lot of difficult situations all around the world nowadays. Terrorism, mass destruction, political wars, religious wars, Aids killing people in every each country on the globe. Besides the actions done by government and nonprofit organizations there’s an art. There is a lot different kinds of art fields, to some people pay more to some less attention. Most of the people like to watch movies, some don’t. There are people interested in modern art paintings, but big percentage are not. If it comes to music I would say that 99 recent of people listen to some kind of music, every one of us has its favorite music artist or at least music gender. That is why sending political message through music is very powerful. What is very interesting, I read that “America's musical history is rooted in political message” and music was always connecting young people in political conciseness and anti-war protesting.
Music has been always sending us some kind of message, love, have, passion. It was always helpful in getting into mood. Just think how many times you listen to love songs when angry at your life partner or listen to rock music when pissed at your parents or teacher. Same thing is with politics. Political issues combine with music targets our hearts, make us more sensitive, help us to understand and integrate.

P.S I’m looking forward for comment about the movie and your points of view

Zeitgeist, The movie

ZEITGEIST THE MOVIE

Zeitgeist movie is a documentary about couple of issues of 21th century. Originally the name Zeitgeist comes from German expression that means “the spirit of the age and its society”. It consists of a three parts. Part one is about Christianity and few hypotheses about Jesus Christ, part two is about 9/11, and part three is about Federal Reserve Bank. This movie shows different points of view about those three topics. You don’t necessarily have to agree with it but it is good to listen to different opinions about those controversial topics. The content is very interesting since they show different theories about conspiracy, hiding the truth from society, criticizing authorities and religious institutions and so on. Zeitgeist was banned from TV and other public institutions; I read that many times it was removed from the internet, but fortunately there are people who wants us to see it.
It opens your mind to new questions and made you search for the new answers. It might seem little scary at the beginning but as I said you don’t have to agree with it.
